Inner Path Coaching exists for people who are tired of performing a version of themselves that no longer feels true. This work is for those navigating grief, burnout, identity shifts, spiritual disorientation, leadership strain, or the quiet ache of success without meaning.
I'm Kayne Young, founder of Inner Path Coaching. I work at the intersection of practical strategy, philosophical inquiry, and inner transformation, helping people move through major personal and professional transitions with more honesty, clarity, and courage.
My approach is built on The Inner Way, a coaching framework rooted in Buddhist mindfulness, Taoist principles, Stoic ethics, and informed by modern psychology. It is not about quick fixes or surface-level motivation. It is about learning how to stop abandoning yourself, face what is true, and build a life that feels internally aligned.
My work is also shaped by the lives I have lived beyond coaching. I am an artist, and that creative practice deepens the way I listen for symbolism, emotion, beauty, and meaning in the human experience. I am also a hospice volunteer, and that work has taught me to meet people with presence, tenderness, humility, and reverence for what matters most.
Before this chapter of my life, I served in the Air Force and built a background in leadership, communication, project management, and professional development. Those experiences continue to inform the grounded, structured, and results-aware side of my coaching today.
Inner Path Coaching is for people who want more than inspiration. It is for people who want real transformation, the kind that asks for self-confrontation, compassion, discipline, and a willingness to live with deeper integrity.
If you are standing at a threshold in your life and know something needs to change, you are welcome here.
My coaching framework draws from three traditions that share a common truth: peace is not the absence of difficulty, it is the willingness to meet it honestly.
Buddhist mindfulness teaches presence. Taoist philosophy teaches surrender to what is natural. Stoic virtue ethics teaches that character is built in the hard moments, not the easy ones. Together, they form The Inner Way, a practical framework for people ready to stop performing their lives and start actually living them.
This is not therapy. It is not feel-good affirmations. It is rigorous inner work with someone who has walked the same ground you are standing on.
Veterans who lost their identity when the mission ended. People who are grieving, not just death, but the loss of relationships, families, and the life they thought they were building. People-pleasers who have given everything to everyone else and have nothing left for themselves. High achievers who have everything they were supposed to want and feel nothing. Queer people navigating spiritual healing after leaving a faith tradition that told them something was wrong with them.
I have been every one of those people.
That is not a sales pitch. It is why I do this work. I am not coaching from theory. I am coaching from the other side of every one of those struggles.
I have written over twenty books and recorded audiobooks, each one built around a specific season of difficulty. You can find the full collection on the Resources page.
I also record guided meditations grounded in the same philosophy. You will find those on the Meditations page.
And if you want to hear me teach, there are teaching videos on the Videos page.
The first step is not a sales call. It is an honest conversation with yourself. The Inner Path Assessment takes 10 minutes and tells us both where to start.
